We had an awful tragedy on sunday night. While bringing the car into the property after fetching friends from the airport, Jewel got under the back wheel of the bakkie. She died 5 minutes later. This is a very traumatic event for all of us... Mark who was driving, J who was closing the gate so heard and saw it all, Kara who was the proud mom of our energy ball and myself. Jewel in many ways was like the start of a new season for us... but alas we are dealing with death again.
Never did we think we'd miss the barking in the middle of the night or the chewed up toys...
