Kara and her cheering committee at the zone 6 competition in Pretoria in early Dec.  We were so pleased for her when she got 2nd overall, with gold for free dance and silver for hoop while representing South Africa.

J flying his and Marks new remote control plane.  You'll see the plane in top right hand corner.  We were on our way driving back to Durban after holidaying in Cape Town.

We celebrated Marks folks' 50th wedding annerversary.  We went out for supper at a lovely  Italian resturant but Mark and the kids first got to ride some go-carts.  Ja, J did manage to overtake on the next lap.  

The Hugo clan at 50 years!  Thanx mom and dad for the amazing example you've set for us all.  We love you.

And so 2013 starts... we arrived back home from our annual ZEMA conference after our holiday to the families of one of the kids friends being in crisis.  So we've been trying to be a support and encouragment to them, amidst school starting and the kids being unwell.
